The pro-regime Palang Pracharath (PPRP) looks set to compete for House seats in Nakhon Pathom constituency against the powerful Sasomsap family which wields influence in the central province. "I am confident the PPRP has a strong chance to win House seats in Nakhon Pathom even though a powerful family still maintains a monopoly [on House seats]," Mr Somsak said, referring to the Sasomsap political clan. Mr Somsak made the remarks yesterday as the party introduced election candidates who will stand in five constituencies in the province in the upcoming election. He also said that voting for the PPRP means supporting Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha to return as premier after the election. Mr Somsak was accompanied by party executive Anucha Nakhasai and Thanakorn Wangboonkhongchana, the PPRP's deputy spokesman.
